![]() ![]() ![]() Players have 5 minutes, 15 seconds to kill Kilrogg Deadeye before Ariok dies due to damage taken. This is an achievement purely based on the speed of the kill, and therefore as a raid group increases in skill and power, players will likely receive it naturally. To obtain the A Race Against Slime achievement, raid groups must "defeat Kilrogg Deadeye in Hellfire Citadel with Ariok surviving the encounter on Normal difficulty or higher." That, or defeating the boss before he sends out any waves. It is basic position awareness in raid that will net this achievement. A player must personally avoid being hit by a wave of energy in order to receive this achievement. Note that this is an individual achievement. To receive the Waves Came Crashing Down All Around achievement, a player must "defeat Kormrok in Hellfire Citadel without taking damage from any of the waves on Normal difficulty or higher." Meta: Waves Came Crashing Down All Around Then, the raid group should move into position to have the Iron Reaver kill the second set of Hellfire Guardian with Barrage. All players should stack up in between the Iron Reaver and one set of the Hellfire Guardian until Barrage is cast. ![]() Instead, the Iron Reaver boss has to kill the 10 Hellfire Guardian for the raid group. Unfortunately, both sets of Hellfire Guardian spawn out of range on the platforms to the north and south and cannot be targeted. What seems to be an easy achievement is not quite as simple. To obtain the Turning the Tide achievement, raid groups must "kill 10 Hellfire Guardians, then defeat the Iron Reaver in Hellfire Citadel on Normal difficulty or higher." For raid groups that need to prioritize, the order is the same as listed earlier, and derived from mobility and damage dealt. Killing any of them earlier is desirable, of course. As soon as any Siege Vehicle is in range of either Hellfire Cannon, it MUST be killed. There are four types of Siege Vehicles: Felfire Crusher, Felfire Artillery, Felfire Flamebelcher, and Felfire Transporter. To obtain Nearly Indestructible, raid groups must "complete the Hellfire Assault encounter in Hellfire Citadel while keeping the Hellfire Cannons above 90% health on Normal difficulty or higher." It is only required by a single group member, and while its use isn't mandatory, it helps simplify tracking the achievement requirements. RaidAchievement tracks all the achievements for a particular boss fight, and announces completion or failure in party or raid chat, depending on the type of instance. It, or another similar addon, should be used by every member of a raid to increase fight awareness. My personal support is for Deadly Boss Mods (DBM) and RaidAchievement, although others work just as well.ĭBM is a commonly used addon to tell players what the boss is doing during a fight, including alerts to interrupt casts, move out of damaging areas, or to shift damage to a particular npc. It should be noted that the raid can be set to any difficulty EXCEPT LFR in order to receive credit for completing the achievements, and with them, the mount.Ī key component for raid groups working on this achievement is the use of addons. Please vote if you find this guide helpful, or leave comments below if you have suggestions on how to improve! This guide here presents the strategies on how to obtain the mechanistic achievements found in HFC, all of which are required for the Glory of the Hellfire Raider achievement. For those looking for tactical advice on defeating bosses in Normal or Heroic, please refer to the Dungeon Journal on each boss's page, or this guide, which provides a jumping point for guides to fights against each of the bosses in the instance. It is assumed that players know how to perform the fights on Normal or Heroic mode, so that is not discussed here. The Glory of the Hellfire Raider meta-achievements consists of achievements solely from the Hellfire Citadel raid.
